2017-12-18 21:44:00 | Yes saying W10 is a piece of sh.. because of one or two features is stupid. Everyone knows that it works just fine on most new hardware. We all have to keep up to date, and if we are all on Windows 10, we can get to know it better, and help others rather than having to remember XP, ME, 7 or 8 etc. Its just a question of working on what you need to learn. EG I also have problems with my sound cards (I have too many drivers installed) So I need to sit down for an hour or so and remove some of them. But I never have the time.

(You should have got it last year when it was free to upgrade) Hmm. Well proven to... what? There seems to be so many damn problems with 10 which continue to surface. In my case as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

2017-12-19 00:02:00 | It's a laugh reading those useless answers.microsoft.com so-called experts posts. Their copy n paste fix for all problems appear to be running the troubleshooter, sfc /scannow, dism or fresh install. | Sirhc (15872) | |
2017-12-19 00:52:00 | We octogenarians need an OS like Win 10 to help keep the brain active, it's great :)LOL. It certainly has worked for me!! | Pato (2463) | |
2017-12-19 01:37:00 | yes people I did say it was me - pctek that was. ANyway....moving on now. He has bought an actual monitor, large enough to keep him happy and a decent resolution. Just replacing another drive too as I type....250Gb to 1TB, data. Still haven't changed my mind, but I'm happy with my Win7, he is happy so long as his Win10 leaves HIM alone and I have people I can ask about Linux when the time comes.

2017-12-19 02:13:00 | How can you skip W10 as they say its going to be the last STRAW. Its well proven now, unfixable and overpriced at free. So now is the time to get out, before you get left even deeper in sticky stuff. (You should have got out last year when it was free to downgrade) FTFY ;) The EULA, the commercials (and the glowing reports from those who profit hourly from this pOS) should be printed on recycled bog rolls for true compatibility. W10% is only an upgrade if you have Windows Flagship Edition, ME. :badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

2017-12-19 02:14:00 | Just installed the LTSB version of W10 that 1101 Linked. For a home user it would be useless UNLESS they were tech inclined, or hired /got someone to set it up. It has NO visible Browser at all. IE is there if you know how to get to it, the start menu list is all but blank, The tiles are completely blank (empty area), with no real Home user options in the menus. For Power or tech inclined it would be fine, average user --- not so. Defiantly designed for corporate usage with IT supported people on site or available. Compared to the Home user Version 1709 which I also installed on a customers PC using a W7 Key and activated fine (who said it cant be done :) ) Its not that much faster.

2017-12-19 05:54:00 | I find it laughable how people complain about monthly windows updates when Linux distros almost have almost hourly updates and I have seen them cause problems too which is why I went back to Windows. I wanted to use Linux but some of the software I need cannot be run on it and there is no alternative for Linux. I have had less issues with Windows than with Linux and looking at the Linux threads on here I can see everyone else does too but are afraid to own up that they do. | gary67 (56) | |
