Its possible the software was still installing and simply hadn't gotten finished yet (seen it take several hours sometimes) . OR could have been some sort of physical connection problem. Simply unplugging the monitor and putting it back caused it to reconnect as it should. |

once I could see video again one could see it was actually installing and proceeding correctly but don't get why pulling cable out brought video back when is was already working okay yet no video on restart ....haven't ever seen this before..... |

Seen that plenty of times. Sometimes it comes right on its own, and sorts its self. It's usually driver issues somewhere. Had quite a few where it may have had a black screen, 30 - 45 minutes later still black but you can see the activity light going, so left it over night, and in the morning there was graphics. |
