684929 2008-07-03 09:49:00 Hi, I had a look at a friend's laptop which she has Vista loaded and Office 2007 .

First up, its my first time with Vista . Its a bit like XP I think from 2000 its all goofed up . What I found was with the start button you cannot change it to a traditional start button . I did however changed the the start button expanded column more traditional .

To the bigger question . I fired up Outlook 2007 and it has the traditional menu's like File, Edit, View, Help etc . . . but when I fired up Word and Excel they are all redone . Is it possible to redo them?

Thanks .

2. No you can't - Office 2007's new 'ribbon' bar replaces the menus as seen in Outlook.

684932 2008-07-03 10:13:00 Hi Nomad. You can retrofit Word 2003 drop down menus to Word 2007's ribbons....... look here:
