| 813689 | 2009-09-25 03:59:00 | Had a panicked call this morning, massive display problem, old CRT, old PC with onboard graphics. Got her to try a few things, no joy. Description, well always tricky on the phone but it sounded dire and she was losing patience with my questions and stuff. So....... All the way to Gore - take one look and press the degauss button. Boing!!.........all better. Admittedly it was the worst example I've seen, dark maroon in the middle, rainbow effects round the sides. Worth the complete waste of time going there for nothing though as She never heard of degaussing and nearly fell off her chair when I did it. Decided I was some sort of amazing Wizard. |
