813110 2009-09-23 12:51:00 I'm running an ISA Proxy on a Win 2003 server.
ISP is Telecom, filtered through WatchDog.

Internet access has been rubbish over the last few weeks if not month or so.

Without having to call either WatchDog or Telecom to find out if they are having problems... is there a strategy or some stuff that I could do that might help isolate where the problem is... us or one of them.

Examples of problems:
Web pages take ages to load or you need to hit refresh 5 or 6 times over a minute (finally loads).
Sometimes no internet access at all... for 3 or 4 minutes.

I don't have technical support 5 days a week...

813111 2009-09-23 14:15:00 I would start by trying other DNS servers first like opendns. CYaBro (73)

Internet access has been rubbish over the last few weeks if not month or so.

...

1) try without Watchdog & see if it improves??
2) Telecom have several DNS's try another one
3) look at logs in router for disconnects
4) try to ping www.google.com next time internet is down

813113 2009-09-24 04:56:00 I spoke with Watchdog today, they suggested pulling the little green cable out.
This in effect removes filtering.
They also suggested going directly through the router and by-passing our proxy... as another test.

DNS was the other thing mentioned.
Sorry to sound like a total newbie... but how do I check where our DNS is being sorted.

I'll give all of these a crack. Thanks... any other ideals, keep them coming.
