ESET Smart Security 4 BE
Object:
file:///D:/featured/WiseDiskCleaner/WDC4Free.exe

Threat:
a variant of Win32/Induc.A virus

Comment:
Please submit this object to ESET for analysis

Ahhh flase positive or something to be worried about? I would not imagine a Disk Cleaner containing any sort of 'malicious-ware' for it's work.

814695 2009-09-28 05:40:00 Submit it to Eset. Is NOD up to date? Speedy Gonzales (78)
814696 2009-09-28 06:35:00 Done.

Yes sir, sure is. NOD32 isn't known for false positive, tis why I am surprised.

814698 2009-09-28 06:55:00 NOD32 does that. Plugged in my iPod and it picked up the autorun file as suspicious. ronyville (10611)
814699 2009-09-28 07:05:00 *That* probably wasn't a false positive.

Plugging media devices in and out of PCs does tend to attract nasties it....:p

814700 2009-09-28 07:39:00 Thats ironic  Shows as a Virus (www.imagef1.net.nz) and they have a section on free antivirus software.

My Nod32 is right upto date as well.

The PCworld version is 4.5 , the latest free version is 4.7.

814701 2009-09-28 08:15:00 So a false positive, no explanation as to why they comes up.

And their Batman Demo is corrupt. And they don't give you the actual latest products...PCworld just loss me as a customer! Congratz!

Wainuitech, that MS AV is on another PC right? Like I have my NOD32, and now IObit Security 360 running as well, which doesn't interefer. Curious as to the new MS product.

814702 2009-09-28 08:30:00 False Positive on two different AV's ????

Yeah Chris - the MS product is on a Windows 7 Professional PC in the workshop, Nod32 Is on my main one(s) - see This thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) re the new software.

Running two AV's on 1 PC is a no no - not a good idea.
