813980 2009-09-26 06:56:00 I only receive emails now and again. I run Nortons 360 Premier edition and have changed the security levels and stopped firewall but no difference.
A lot of the emails I am not getting are from Trade Me. I have rung them and they say there is nothing wrong at their end and that they get lots of similiar calls I rang my ISP Vodafone they say there is no problem so where are these emails going. They are not in the junk mail, they just seem to disappear. I can send an email to myself no problem. I have windows XP and use Int Exp with outlook express, can anybody help Please.

813981 2009-09-26 07:12:00 First, I would set up a second email account, e.g. the free Gmail, so as to implement immediately contact if required. I had trouble with Xtra last year (twice), where I was not receiving emails from Trademe sellers. Hence a second email account came in handy. kahawai chaser (3545)
813982 2009-09-26 07:21:00 Hae you used webmail to access the mail coming through your ISP? Extra operate a Junk mail filter and the Emails could be sitting on the server and not delivered as deemed junk. Sweep (90)

If emails are showing in webmail they will be down loaded with the email client as they are still on the server
If there is a spam folder in webmail emails in that are not still on the server.

Vodafone don't have an accessible spam folder, if their spam filter decides an email is spam it just disappears into a black hole. This might be what is happening to your Trademe emails.
You can't turn the spam filter off either

813984 2009-09-26 10:47:00 Try the kahawai suggestion for your Trademe emails, ie get a Gmail just for those emails as it doesn't involve much effort.
Keep in mind that emails can be trashed by your email provider so that you don't even see them in your junk folder.

813985 2009-09-26 21:32:00 Thanks for the replys. I have done all the things suggested here, but I think Safari has the answer they are all disappearing into a black hole via Vodafones spam filter. I have contacted them again to complain so will see what happens. Ango (10308)
