686043 2008-07-08 23:16:00 I changed from AVG8 to Avast over the weekend, quite impressed so far.

So did I !

Based on this thread.....

Guaranteed

And removing all USB ports and optical/floppy drives.

And gluing all the USB, firewire and IDE headers on the motherboard, so nothing can be plugged into them.

Not quite realistic. ;)

You can still unglue them then. And then just solder some more headers in. Too repairable. I suggest some heavy welding.

I think there may have been a point somewhere back there. But it's lost to the world. Maybe I'm just bored. A walk is on the cards methinks

I downloaded mine from download.com

Ooh, that 2nd link seems to be dodgy. Dammit, I can see that causing problems! :p

"But I DID download Avast!"

"Um, no you didn't..." :crying

686051 2008-07-21 05:28:00 You know, I once did some work for a lady (owner of a very successful truck spare parts business - not silly at all) who told me she covered her PC at night with a tea towel to stop it catching virus's.

It's not often I'm rendered speechless, but that was one such occasion. :illogical

True story.
