I think they are all the same. The 2.5" ones don't need fancy fans etc. I bought one for a friend who I saved his data off his broken laptop, since DSE has a good refund policy, I was unsure if the HDD was still working.

He doesn't want the HDD now after he got his files copied into his other laptop so it is now mine :D

This is a computer help forum amongst other things.

We are a subset of the wider community.

We try and help our community so why would we not?

Go for it.

815013 2009-09-30 00:45:00 It might be overpriced but the quality won't be any worse than the cheapest you can buy from pricespy and in fact might be a bit better (DSE aren't incredibly bad)

And being a big shop they have a good returns policy (eg: they actually do it) Unlike some of the dodgy shops who might not even exist in 3 months time

Returning a broken item from some random guy on Trademe may turn out even worse... (though being the cheap person I am I would buy the Trademe one myself!)

Same here!:p

Personally I reckon you should get the second one. It'll be better than DS's one IMO.

815015 2009-09-30 04:27:00 The DSE return policy is great - even if you simply just changed your mind. I asked him, I don't know if the HD still works, if the HD is broken there is no use of the enclosure/case can I get a refund. The answer was yes. Bring back all the packaging.

Some good shops may sell a case for $30, $40 isn't much more.....

815016 2009-09-30 05:53:00 These are great but maybe too pricey for you.
