686445 2008-07-08 16:09:00 You gotten used to right turn on red? Or 4(all) way stops?

BTW, if you haven't yet been to one, go visit a Micro Center. Awesome store... Rows and rows of shelves of every computer related product you could ever imagine - and none of this consumer electronic rubbish either :D I went to one in Virginia while we were there early in our holiday (am now nearing the end of our hol). It makes Circuit City and Best Buy seem distinctly inferior in comparison.

Try "Fry's (http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com/)" for a real Disney-like electronics show.

In Alabama..they don't exist as they have no banjo strings.

686447 2008-07-09 00:14:00 What?

Sorry, where are my manners...

Pardon?

Sorry...don't want to shake your banana tree (or bush..whatever)...but that dancing banana would not be allowed on the dance floor in any but the worst x-rated night clubs here. Las Vegas...maybe.

It's not you or your family I believe; must be a banana from the black sheep side of the family. :groan:

686448 2008-07-09 04:01:00 Horse flies are the ones that annoy me. I've been bitten twice already in the pool.

I don't think I can fool TradeMe on this one. I'd need to have my real details in my payment instructions, and they would easily figure out it was me either way.

Wouldn't mind the $300 odd in my account back though, the thiefs.

I hate the TM management more than ever now.

Not to worry. It's worth it, I hope.

686449 2008-07-09 04:32:00 Breach: Without limiting any other rights and remedies available to Trade Me, Trade Me may limit your activities on the Website, remove your bids or listings, warn other members of your actions, issue a warning to you, suspend or terminate your membership, or refuse to provide our Services to you if you breach these terms and conditions or where Trade Me considers it appropriate.Nowhere does it say they can claim any remaining credit balance, and I suspect the law is on your side - you have paid them money and they have not provided a service in exchange for said money. My understanding is that you are entitled to a refund, although IANAL, so it may be an idea to double-check. Erayd (23)
686450 2008-07-09 05:54:00 Horse flies are the ones that annoy me . I've been bitten twice already in the pool .

WARNING TO THE SQUEAMISH: THIS IS NASTY!
DON'T LOOK . . . BEETLE!

We also have deer flies ( . osu . edu/hyg-fact/2000/2115 . html" target="_blank">ohioline . osu . edu) that bite a terrible gash in your skin and leave you bleeding .

Just found this out too:

The greatest deer and horse fly activity occurs on warm, sunny days when there is little or no wind . A slight drop in temperature or a sudden breeze reduces biting attacks . Deer flies seem to be attracted to moving objects and dark shapes . They attack humans especially around the face and neck areas (four to five deer flies attack at one time) .

A few years ago, several Ohio State University Extension agents field tested TRED-NOT DEER FLY PATCHES as a non-chemical control method . Some reported good results of these odorless, non-chemical, adhesive patches . The patches are three inches wide by six inches long, and are worn on the back of a cap to trap and hold biting deer flies . Patches worked best when moving . For more information, contact DETEX, 6910 W . Ten Mile Road, Leroy, Michigan 49655 . Prices are 12 patches for $12 . 00, 40 patches for $25 . 00 and 80 patches for $40 . 00 . Shipping is free and within 24 hours .

Persons hiking, picnicking, camping or involved in outdoor activity should protect themselves with repellents such as N-diethyl-meta-toluamide (Deet, Off) or permethrin . Deet-based repellents are effective for a few hours, but the user should not apply indiscriminately since human allergies can develop . Permethrin-based repellents applied only on clothing usually last longer . (Follow label directions . )

Horse flies are usually attracted to shiny surfaces, motion, carbon dioxide, and warmth . Some people report attacks while in swimming pools . Flies light on the skin and bite, causing much pain (one to two horse flies attack at one time) . Others fly erratically near the head, often "banging" recklessly into windows and other objects in a crazy fashion . Some rest on back porches, etc . , especially in mid to late August .
