2008-07-08 00:09:00 | Can't wait to see how VSX spins this one. Only $80??? A Bargain if I ever saw one! See how he hasn't posted yet? He's already lining up on Queen Street. Some people are paying far more than that now so I don't think it will be a problem.

2008-07-08 00:28:00 | My DSE 1GB player (that cost all of $50) is more than adequate - it even has an FM tuner! :D | pcuser42 (130) | |
2008-07-08 00:32:00 | Interesting - all the hype around the price of the phone "from ONLY $199!!" and when you read the small print, that price only applies to the 8GB phone on the 1GB plan!!! Ouch! nofam is right - epic fail!! But you can guarantee there'll be lots of idiots with more money than sense queueing up to part with their hard-earned cash! My wallet will stay in my back pocket, thanks Vodaphone! It will be interesting to see what pricing plans (if any) Telecom come up with to try to stop potential ship-jumpers...

2008-07-08 00:42:00 | I was thinking about getting one, but certainly not at those prices! Even worse is that even after buying one outright for $979, Vodafone has then decreed that you cannot use it on prepay. Fortunately Optus has the sense to offer an unlocked, prepay-compatible model. I expect that these will become readily available from importers.

2008-07-08 00:55:00 | I was thinking about getting one, but certainly not at those prices! It's a relief to finally know that I can't afford one. Thanks Apple and Vodafone! I'm off to TradeMe to see if anyone is trying to sell a quality phone I can upgrade to...
