815094 2009-09-29 07:31:00 This old computer's PSU is still 'warm' even after the PC is 'OFF' (wall outlet is ON) - I can feel it with my palm from the outside of the case. Any explanation to this? bk T (215)
815095 2009-09-29 07:36:00 Unless the power switch is off as well then the PSU is still drawing some power gary67 (56)

You reckon it is quite 'normal' in this case? Usually, when the PC is OFF (I don't switch off the mains at the wall outlet unless I'm away for a few days) it is 'cold' to touch. My other computer is cold to touch.

I thought something is not quite right with this unit.

815097 2009-09-29 07:48:00 When it's off it should be as cool as its ambient I think. It shouldn't draw a lot of power at all when the PC is off.

How long have you kept it off before you feel it? It may take a while for the PSU to cool down without the fan running.

Left it over-night!
