| 814490 | 2009-09-27 20:23:00 | Chum can't open a pptx file,he has sent to me and it will open ok,a Power point jobbie. Why for me and not him. I have Office 2007,he has 2003,would that be the problem? |

| 814491 | 2009-09-27 20:30:00 | That would by why. Your friend should install this (www.microsoft.com), cause this won't be the last time he's gonna have this problem. Make sure the fine print lower down on the page is read before installing. Otherwise you can just re-save the file as .ppt instead of .pptx and send him that instead, but that will only work this time, he needs to have the converter pack installed to be able to open files created by Office 2007. |

| 814493 | 2009-09-27 21:16:00 | You'd open the file choose save as, and just below where you can type in the file name, there's a drop down box. Change the file type from .pptx to .ppt. | wratterus (105) | ||
| 814494 | 2009-09-27 21:19:00 | Hi C. Don't wish to interfere with Wratty's link - but he might be out on a job. Open the file and then save as..... in the "Save as File Type" area you will find a number of options, including the one you want. Oops - spoke too soon. Morning folks. |
