| 816173 | 2009-10-02 11:17:00 | I have a inherited a ubuntu based server and I want to turn it into a windows desktop. When I go to boot from a windows XP setup cd the screen just goes blank. The server CPU is a Sempron L-1200 with 2 Gb memory and 2 SATA hard drives. Any suggestions? |

| 816174 | 2009-10-02 20:35:00 | try this- download a partition tool, something like gparted (gparted.sourceforge.net) -burn the ISO file with your ISO section of your buring software - boot from that CD, see if it will show the partitions on the drive. Download Page (sourceforge.net) or Direct download link (sourceforge.net) 100MB. If it does, delete the partitions, then reboot with the windows XP CD - it should now load in windows. |
