815672 2009-09-30 21:52:00 Hey all

When ever I start my Computer up, it comes up with "Safe mode" "safe mode with networking" "Safe mode with Command Prompt" "Start windows with last known configuration" and "Start windows normally"

No matter what one I choose, about half way through the Windows XP loading bar, I get a glimps of the blue screen of death, then computer restarts.

I have to go to the dentist now, :(, But I was thinking, If I booted the computer from the DVD drive, and had the OS disk in, would it alow me to do a system restore?

And just last night, I Scanned my computer, defragged, and ran all those types of things. The only thing I installed was "Ad-Aware" and today, on installation, it just restarted comp, and this happened.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated (Without having to reformat my C drive :illogical)

Motherboard: Asus P5P43TD
OS: Microsoft Windows Home XP

815673 2009-09-30 21:55:00 Tap F8 on startup, choose 'Don't restart on system failure' and post back what the BSOD says.

It wouldn't hurt to grab the UBCD (www.ultimatebootcd.com) and do HDD and RAM diags.

815674 2009-09-30 21:55:00 On that menu there should be an option to 'Disable Automatic Restart'
Choose that and then post back here with the Stop error and any files that may be listed.

815677 2009-09-30 23:10:00 You have to press F8 again after you select the boot device. Or press F5 after you reboot. Speedy Gonzales (78)

Sorry, you have an Asus board right? Select the main Hard Drive then tap F8 again, the right options will come up.

815679 2009-09-30 23:22:00 Probably don't even need to worry about pressing F8 as it sounds like the correct screen is coming up anyway as Windows is not loading correctly. CYaBro (73)
815680 2009-09-30 23:24:00 The blue screen says
"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
