| 815359 | 2009-09-30 02:06:00 | I have received emails with attached pdf files which I can't open. I am running Thunderbird and have Adobe Reader 9.1. In associated file types I have "pdf" to be opened with Adobe Reader 9.1. When I try to open the file I get the message "**.pdf could not be opened because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences. I can open currently stored pdf files without any trouble. Any ideas? |

| 815368 | 2009-10-01 22:22:00 | you are probably using windows vista. this awful OS does not even recognise microsoft's own creations, like mine does not recognise word documents. Anyway, easiest is to save the file and then open it, rather than trying to open direct from the e-mail. You can also try and redefine the application to open pdf. this is done in control panel, 'default programs' and then 'associate a file type...' where you find pdf and make sure it's associated with your latest version of adobe reader. | tritonium (15280) | ||
