815812 2009-10-06 10:44:00 Thanks guys (and gals). Yeah it was a real drama...I'm a master at getting into them...computers are dumb, they only know what I tell them... all good.
I've got a few other new ones on the go I'm trying to sort out:
Norton Ghost 12 wont do a full system backup because it can't create a Backup Point, (hic) because the drive has an OS or Active Pagefile system operating on it (?????????)
Don't even think about it!!!!

ps> I think I mucked up by using the Norton Partition Magic to divide that 200GB 'J' Drive into the 4x50GB Logical Drives....perhaps I should have shut the com down and done the divide with GParted...hmmmm..yes, I think so.

815813 2009-10-06 18:31:00 I see Gparted is highly recommended but I use Acronis and find that it does all I need when it comes to creating, deleting, copying and generaly mucking about with HDDs and partitions. Bryan (147)
