2008-07-13 23:01:00 | My friend says his N73 is better than an Iphone. The picture which he takes using his camera is way better the N73 has a WAP browser and not a full web experance. the N73 hasent got GPS and the end of the day every phone has its pros and cons. its all about what is best for you not what is best for your friend. you may note that in my review I say what I like, I never try and say its the best phone for everyone. some people think a V8 holden is the best car ever, most single mums would say otherwise. it all comes down to YOUR needs and likes. the N73 is a nice phone but not better than an Iphone the Iphone is a nice phone but not better than the N73

However, that is really the only thing I would fault (well maybe lack of AD2P as well). Every phone has its advantages and disadvantages, but I think that the overall, the iPhone is the best all round phone on the market. |

2008-07-14 01:58:00 | Mine cost $230, Though it is on a contract that costs thousands. Still, no skin off my nose, Its work that requires me to have it, Its work that pays for it. if it were up to me an $80 phone on prepay would suit perfectly.

2008-07-14 02:14:00 | if it were up to me an $80 phone on prepay would suit perfectly. I am actually tossing up that option at the moment since my mobile phone usage has dropped considerably in the last year and a bit and I have had my current phone for about 4 years or so on contract.

2008-07-14 02:20:00 | Can someone please explain the last comment in that report - Apple shares fell $4.05, or 2.29%, to $172.58 in Friday trading. AT&T shares were down 19 cents to close at $32.58. the way I read it, new product and shares Fall from the two main companies concerned, Apple with the Phone, and AT&T being one of the providers- not quite right is it ??

2008-07-14 02:49:00 | The share price fall has more to do with the high oil prices and a jittery market than the fact that AAPL sold out all its iPhone stock at the weekend. It is not uncommon for the price to rise on rumor and be sold on the news - no matter how good the news is. If you cheack back to see what the stock price did during last week, on Tuesday thru Wednesday US Time the stock was actually heading UP prior to the iPhones release. They are actually up 25c to 172.83 in after hours trading. It is not a concern for investors who are either long on options or who got their shares at a much lower price back when AAPL shares were under $100 a share (say mid 2005) From US stock market research analyst Piper Jaffray A combination of the two pricing woes is predicted to leave many customers left in an unenviable position at launch. The impact of this is could be serious enough to force many customers to wait up to roughly 18 months before making the purchase, no matter how interested they are in Apple's second-generation hardware. "Buyers will wait until their contract on their current carrier expires, or AT&T subscribers become upgrade eligible," the analyst claims. "As a result, we believe initial iPhone 3G sales will be diluted, but that sales will increase over the next 18 months as the average cost decreases." Researchers at Piper Jaffray are nonetheless convinced Apple will have little difficulty blossoming its marketshare in the US within as little as a year. Munster cites both a survey of 200 cellphone owners and the potential $1 billion market of the just-launched App Store as factors in growing Apple's command of the US phone market from an estimated 3.4 percent today to approximately 8 percent in mid-2009. As many as 45 million iPhones are still predicted to ship within all of 2009, he adds. If you are looking at the future prospects you should be looking at the last line of that quote.
