2009-10-01 01:15:00 wipe with a soft cloth from the centre out to the edge NOT round in circles gary67 (56)
2009-10-01 01:21:00 Maybe try the free CD recovery (www.kvipu.com) software, transfer the data, or create an ISO image before further use. kahawai chaser (3545)
2009-10-01 01:35:00 Or buy a CD cleaning kit.

2009-10-01 06:36:00 The CD that I was trying to get to work is beyond repair and now I can't use flight simulator. convair (13650)
2009-10-01 06:40:00 You'll have to buy another copy then. Speedy Gonzales (78)
2009-10-01 06:43:00 I think Dick Smith may stock the version that I use.

2009-10-01 07:40:00 Hold the offending CD track side up, squirt a fair amount of dish-washing liquid on the surface and work around lightly with your finger, after a time rinse off with warm water and dry with soft cloth, working from the inside to the circumference along the radii, if that does not fix it look for gouges in the surface and use Silvo, or toothpaste/fine abrasive to smooth the affected area, if that does not work throw away, buy another one. lol. zqwerty (97)
2009-10-01 09:27:00 For deep gouges try a CD polisher.

I had 'The Gamesman' do this for one of my CDs

If they can't fix it, they don't charge you anything (or that was what they said to me anyway)
