689220 2008-07-15 18:36:00 Hi Guys

I see that Tony Veitch has been stood down from his high profile jobs on tv and radio for assaulting his ex-partner.

This is probably a correct decision, but it is sad for him.

But it seems far more unfair to him, than if he was say a builder or a computer programmer. He would not lose his job.

So why they are in the process of removing him what about high profile All Blacks that stuff up and what about ....

Pita Sharples and Derek Fox, both politicians who admit they assaulted their partners years ago and now say they are sorry for what they did and that violence is not OK.

689221 2008-07-15 19:42:00 Tony would have been well aware that his job is reliant on being popular with the viewers, He is the person who "lashed out". I can't see any unfair treatment, as I said in the other thread you can't just take back your high profile when it doesn't suit.

I'm surprised he hasn't left the country yet.

Hows this, we had a person at work who lashed out and gave their 3 month old child brain damage, How should he have been treated?

Bruce Lee would have trouble administering that .

689223 2008-07-15 20:32:00 I have no sympathy for Tony Veitch what so ever. What he did was very wrong and he knows it. I hope he gets everything he deserves.

All Blacks/Sports personalities should be treated accordingly for unnecessary violence and bad behaviour as well instead of giving them a game or two off playing.

Violence is NOT OK whatever/whoever you are and the law should start reflecting that.

He supposedly kicked her hard enough to damage 4 vertebrae. That he kicked her is bad enough without having to exaggerate.

You can fracture your own vertebrae by jumping badly from a moderate height and "sportsmen" are doing it to each other every Saturday.

If Bruce could return and give Tony a kicking, he's have no trouble putting him in the Burwood Spinal Unit permanently.

689226 2008-07-15 21:49:00 He kicked her down the stairs then left her there for 6 hours apparently.

The guy who caused brain damage to his baby should be treated the same way.
I don't care where they work.

689227 2008-07-16 02:22:00 So, can someone point me the facts, or does everyone just have rumor, gossip & innuendo. As far as I know, there isnt any concrete evidence or admitted deed to any of the above...You might all be talking out of the hole in your a**!..

You guys need to get a life instead of judging other people without knowing what you are talking about...seriously....none of us condone domestic violence, but you are all shooting half co*ked!
