817156 2009-10-05 08:07:00 Hi all,
I have two hard drives. Vista on one and XP on the other. Normal boot goes to Vista. I went to XP to do some updates and keep it current, now I cant get it back to Vista.
At start up, I get the option of Vista or an earlier version, but it wont change down to Vista. Do I need to go to Startup and Recovery in My Computer and change something? The dropdown has XP as the default operating system, but no Vista.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you might need a PS/2 keyboard instead.

817159 2009-10-05 11:14:00 My keyboard is a USB one. Do you mean it might have to be a PS2 one to work? The USB one has worked beore when I wanted to go to the earlier version at bootup. *Sparky* (311)
817160 2009-10-05 11:17:00 Sounds like a keyboard issue to me too. Make sure USB keyboard is enabled in the BIOS, I had the same problem the other day. If you cannot find such option, in case it's an older motherboard, you'll have to find a PS2 keyboard to use during boot.

Good luck.

Some of the simplest solutions can be so frustrating.
