| 816753 | 2009-10-04 03:46:00 | Hi I am using a DOCTYPE of <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4 . 01//EN" . (Work requirement!) What do I use to force a link to open in a new page with this DOCTYPE? I tried <a href="my url" target="_blank">click here</a> but it seems that the target attribute is not valid with this DOCTYPE (EG see . w3schools . com/TAGS/tag_a . asp" target="_blank">www . w3schools . com OR when I validate using http://validator . w3 . org/) . So what do I use instead of <a href="my url" target="_blank">click here</a>? Thanks in advance . |
