816697 2009-10-04 01:15:00 i have to replace my keyboard and would like some advice such as - usb or ps/2 (pros and cons); microsoft or logitech; cheap generic keyboard or better quality around the 30 dollar mark ( or more?); and anything to be aware of. any suggestions would be appreciated.
am considering pc online shop - any good or bad experiences with them?

816698 2009-10-04 01:29:00 I myself prefer USB keyboards. No idea why. nedkelly (9059)
816699 2009-10-04 01:30:00 If you spend a lot of time in front of your PC, get yourself an ergonomic keyboard. I have a cheap one (Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000) which is actually really nice, and solidly built.

PCOnlineShop - in my experience they've been good. Despite being quite cheap, they handled the RMA process really quickly (I had a faulty PSU replaced under warranty within a couple of days). They're also one of the few lower-cost suppliers that accept credit cards.

816700 2009-10-04 02:38:00 Some motherboards ship without a PS2 socket on them these days so I would go with USB however I keep a couple of PS2 keyboards for troubleshooting purposes gary67 (56)
816701 2009-10-04 02:45:00 I've had to RMA a motherboard before...within 2 days they'd personally delivered a new one to my house. Excellent services IMO

But, some people seem to think different...

For a good keyboard, I highly, highly recommend the Logitech Wave.

I've had the M$ ergnonomic KB before, but the Wave is waay better.

Its around $70...but its worth it if you use your PC alot IMO

USB. PS2 is going the way of ISA and AGP.

EIther. I prefer Logitech personally.

Quality - isn't that what MS- Logitech was about? Where does generic come into it?

816706 2009-10-04 23:11:00 As far as I'm concerned a keyboard is a keyboard. I have had a MS Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 I bought on special from DSE about 3 or 4 months ago ahd find it very good.
