Or you saw a bumblebee wearing a Honey Puffs costume....

688869 2008-08-24 04:51:00 Just as an afterthought, how did you get on with improving your TV reception. I seem to remember that this was the problem before you got sidetracked by insulation.

And what of the neighbour problem. I this still an issue for you?

688870 2008-08-30 07:28:00 Ok its all done . . . . . . . . . . . . the last lot looks a bit rougher than the fiirst lot, but tiredness and sickness made the job more unpleasant than normal .
i did it after work last night so i wouldnt have to spend all weekend trying to get it done . . . .

it also took longer . . . . . but the house feels warmer as we havnt had the heater on 2 nights in a row, and thats amazing for us . . . . . . . . . especially me as i hate the cold drastically and am alway cold .

apart from having a tooth pulled out this week, i am now on anitbiotics due to a sinus infection . . . . . . . . . . . and inside of the mask was just as bad as the outside . . . . . . . . :p

and i had a nana nap today trying to get back to health fullness . . . . . and the amount of tissues im going through will keep the timber industry happy:p

but im pleased i got the batts done . the house and power / heating costs should lesson hopefully .

Thanks all for your ideas and helpful hints, much appreciate till the next beetle escapade comes along . . . . . . . .

beetle . . . . . sneezed again . . . . . . . . . sigh .

688872 2008-08-30 21:20:00 So now you have got batts in the attic, hopefully keeping beetles out of the roof?
Congratulations :)

688873 2008-08-31 01:40:00 well it seems i am prone to bugs . . . . :p
i am asthmatic, and i think its a genetic thing . . . passed down . . . . . . . . . . . cos my dad used to get lots of colds, flu etc, but he refused to go to dr's . . . . . . . . . . . and he ended up with emphasemia due to his smoking habit and his lifestyle . . . he was an engineer, mechanic and was always breathing in horid fumes of things, welding and machining . . . . . . . .
and to top it off i was always there, in and out of the workshop, barefeet, wanting to see what was happening, and help him fix whatever i was able, motorbikes, diggers, bulldozers, and helping with the alternative power generator, water chanell, and the windmill on the roof of the workshop . . . . . . .

being 65+ kms from the nearest dairy made life interesting . . . . . . . and you just got on and lived it . . . .

so i guess my dad has helped make me the self help person i am today .

and yes the attic is full . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :p
