Good job T/C.

I am all for it as long as they don't start blocking my other sites.

will we see FACT asking for them to block bit-torrent sites?
will we see labour govt asking them to block the act website?
will we see stuff.co.nz asking them to block nzherald??

I have no problem with them blocking child porn, as long as they dont start thinking that they know whats best for all of us or taking requests from anyone with $$

now that have showen that they can block anything they have to be very carfull as to what they use the power for.

with great power comes great responcibilty........

Thanks ronsonde - exactly the point I was trying to make...

Ahh - but if they all start doing it, where will you go?

This, I believe, is what the discussion around Net Neutrality is all about...

they wont all start doing it. at least one will see an opportunity to steal all the others customers by offering "full internet" so the others will be forced to drop the censership to prevent their customers leaving.

Unless there is political interference - China has this problem now....

689962 2008-07-18 10:04:00 I love this paranoia...

Telstraclear block illegal activities, and some people worry that they won't be able to access them...

689963 2008-07-18 10:24:00 I'm not at all concerned about what they're blocking. I'm concerned about the precedent it sets. "Quis custodes custodiet?" johcar (6283)

I see what you're saying, but as a comparison, it's like canibalism being outlawed.
