689808 2008-07-17 10:08:00 And I don't suck the chocolate off and give the nuts to SWMBO, even though she has better teeth than me!!That reminds me of a guy I work with who was late to some gallery opening and missed most of the nibbles. However he did spy a bowl of nuts so he quickly scooped them up and shoved them into his mouth before realising they were actually *pre-loved* olive pips. Jen (38)
689809 2008-07-17 10:48:00 Anything with dark chocolate - preferably above 70% cocoa, (accompanied by a nice dark beer). Jet planes and sour lollies and snakes. Pineapple lumps, dark chocolate scorched almonds.

In a previous life (early 1980's), I worked for my father who owned a small confectionery factory, supplying specialist confectionery shops around NZ. Fudges, chocolates (creme centres), rock candy, hokey pokey, marshmallow, Easter eggs, rocky road, jellies (soft jubes), toffee (choc covered), coconut rough, coconut ice. You name it, we made it! It's amazing I'm not three times the size I am!!! But you do get sick of it after a while (no, not really!! :D)

I still have the recipes - but making 7.5kg batches in the house is not really a goer...

My wife has never forgiven my father for selling the business in 1985 before I came home (with her as my fiance) from our OE!!!
