689004 2008-07-15 22:31:00 pctek : let me rephrase my answer - it was done already, and right now there's nothing small. I agree, a mate of mine got a beautiful Yorkie from them about two months ago. Unfortunately SWMBO wants a Poodle, not a Yorkie, not a Pappillion (I had offers of young Yorkies and Pappillions at work).

Why do people mistreat dogs or any animal? I get so peeved off when I see the badly mistreated dogs or cats arriving at our SPCA.

689005 2008-07-15 23:17:00 Go down to your local SPCA and choose one of the loads and loads of doomed dogs there............

A very good idea pctek. A Mutt can be better than a purebreed unless you take the dog to Crufts or the likes.

It is a sad fact that most people will outlive their pets. I have lost several over the years but people just have to get over it.

I have two cats at the moment and both may outlive me at my age.

Perhaps we should all adopt a turtle at birth. One variety is supossed to have a life span of 193 years but I would not want to have one on my bed or sitting on my lap.

Please note that I am not trying to be sarcastic here.

Sorry for your loss Sarel but as I more or less said the human life span is usually longer than that for a cat or dog.

You will have to walk real slow. Probably would not bark or bite though. :-)

I think that's pretty awesome.

Some types of parrots can grow to be quite old too. Or you could have a pet oyster.
