| 817284 | 2009-10-06 02:24:00 | Hi all, I am looking for software to report on staff internet browsing...We have a gateway on our WAN and I am thinking of mirroring the port to create internet reports and to monitor against abuse of privileges. We used to have surf patrol, but they were bought out by websense who now charge an arm and a leg! |

Hi chill, yes to all of the above.....the WAN proxy will block P2P and IM, so not worried about that...We need some good easy to use reports on staff activity to ensure they arent browsing personal sites in work time. Our current proxy is also the radius server and firewall, does liquid squid ring a bell. Trouble is its reporting is pants! |

That looks sweet WT...thx, I have built an Untangle box to put on our end of the WAN to bridge the connection as of course we already has the firewall etc, however this Red Line looks perfect for the job and a really good price. Great find!, I like how they have different version for the different proxy boxes.... |

The Internet Access Monitor seems ok, not as flash as I thought. Still quiet hard to get a report of hit via time spend p/user with time stamp.....still looking for something,,,Marshall have a new program but it just looks expensive, will wait on the quote......I have the proxy logs files, just need to find a decent program to give me a good picture of use really.... | SolMiester (139) | ||
