817268 2009-10-06 01:58:00 Running an Intel Core 2 Quad using XP SP3 on a workgroup with two other computers. I want to control this computer from a remote computer using XP's Remote Desktop connection. When I try to connect, using this computer's confirmed IP address I get a message saying "Computer cannot be found . . ." Microsoft's published information seems to suggest that the LAN needs to be connected to a server through a VPN or a TS Gateway.
Is it possible to connect without using a server?

817269 2009-10-06 02:07:00 Yeah just port-forward TCP port 3389 to one PC, and something like External 3390 -> Internal 3389 to the other machine :)

No need for VPN or TS Gateway ;)
