| 690724 | 2008-07-21 01:52:00 | Take a look Here (reseller.co.nz) for the good oil on Mac's security issues, and some kind words about MS & PCs. May be a worry for the Waffling Mac Grovellers though, who think that PCs are not, well, PC I guess. Cheers Billy 8-{) :illogical |

| 690725 | 2008-07-21 02:19:00 | Okay - now I'm confused  We keep getting all the time , MAC's dont have faults, they just work, and they don't have security flaws, or get bugs --- YEAH RIGHT ! Oh hang on, it not the OS its the third party programs, any excuse is a good one I expect. Well Spotted Billy. In item Number 6 - made me laugh>>>> "Nothing in Leopard is completely implemented," says Mogull. "They finished enough to get their marketing bullet point, but not a real strong level of defence," concurs Dai Zovi. |

| 690730 | 2008-07-21 02:47:00 | Item Number 6 - made me laugh>>>> Yes, but did you spot that their security solution is going to be a snow job? Apart from the unfortunate juxtaposition of Snow and Job, that choice of OS name is deliciously shonky, and ironic to boot!! Cheers Billy 8-{) :D |

| 690731 | 2008-07-21 03:01:00 | Spotted a reply to that article last week, can post it here if required. For No.6 Security Flaw #6: Apple's security is half-baked. "Nothing in Leopard is completely implemented," according to a consultant cited by the author. "They finished enough to get their marketing bullet point, but not a real strong level of defense," was ascribed to another consultant. The solution suggested was to wait for Snow Leopard for serious Mac deployments when the users will "know precisely what security improvements Apple commits to for that release." Reality: Quoting consultants who have an opinion doesn't make for quantitative truth. Any OS is an evolving ecosphere. No OS will ever be perfect, and suggesting that the entire security posture of Leopard won't be complete until Snow Leopard is like suggesting that 90 percent of corporate America completely delay the deployment of Vista until Windows 7 comes out. It's a pipe dream. |
