| 818256 | 2009-10-09 00:08:00 | I use Ghost 2002 on a Win98/DOS7 boot CD to do a weekly cloning backup to a plug in hard drive. It copies sector by sector from one drive to another. But there are lots of programs for cloning or imaging, many free as per Google: free disk copy programs (www.google.co.nz) I'd try Easus Disk Copy. Then there are free copy programs from hard drive manufacturers. |

| 818258 | 2009-10-09 00:54:00 | How do u backup system files and folders from one drive to another You will need to boot from a CD and backup to an external media, or slave the drive and image it. To backup the system while the OS is running, you will need a program that uses VSC, such as DriveImageXML, Macrium Reflect, Acronis etc. What exactly do you mean by "system files"? You meant only the bootloader, or a specific part? Or imaging the system OS? |
