| 818023 | 2009-10-08 03:26:00 | Hi, I have a friends XP Pro PC here that kept getting an error about Services.exe error whenever it booted up (Status Code 1073741819) it then rebooted itself. I have run various memory and HDD tests and everything checks out OK. So I guessed that services.exe was trying to access a area that could not be accessed and that a XP repair would be a good option to repair a corrupted file. When I try and do a repair XP install I get an error Services.exe application error, The instruction at "0x77f782bc" referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written, Click on OK to terminate the program, Click on cancel to debug the program. Now it keeps trying to install and getting the same error above and hanging. Any suggestions? Intel P4 with 1G RAM and 160 HDD. Thanks |

| 818026 | 2009-10-08 04:21:00 | I removed the drive earlier and scanned with Norton and removed four trojans, but the problem remained. The system restore was already disabled otherwise that would have been one of my first moves. Now it will not even boot up, as it keeps trying to install XP and gets the memory error and hangs. | Shylock (14902) | ||
