| 817639 | 2009-10-06 22:06:00 | Hi, I am having issue with drivers on 64 bit windows 7. The problem is that my laptop shows them up to be "unknown device" and "base system device". (I have attached a picture below). I have gone though the windows trouble shooting wizard and it searched windows update etc but didn't find any fixes. I would search the internet but I have absolutely NO idea what I am searching for. Is there anyway I can find out? If anyone wants I can post the device function summary for each device. |

| 817641 | 2009-10-06 22:18:00 | I installed W7 x64 last night on a dv3020TX. Win7 had when I installed it, others Windows Update got for me. If your sound card isn't working, then I would sat that that's it. One of them will be the Finger Print Scanner if you have one, and the webcam. I still have one unknown device though, looking into it. |

I can't get quick launch to work at all. Any ideas? Could be... the card reader? Do you have a bluetooth module? Not to state the obvious, but have you run Windows Update and have a look though optional updates? You could find something drivers in there. |

But I cant find my remote to test it. My buttons above the keyboard are just volume, wireless and mute. I didnt need to hunt down drivers for them. |

| 817646 | 2009-10-06 22:48:00 | oh. um well whats the thing called that looks like a reciever for a remote? | xyz823 (13649) | ||
| 817647 | 2009-10-06 22:50:00 | Its probably infra red, but its not for a remote. You need to have whatever device within range to use it. Its similar to wireless, but I dont think the range is as good as wireless | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 817648 | 2009-10-06 22:52:00 | It's probably the IR receiver for your remote. my DV 6303 has one in the Expresscard slot Have you installed the drivers for your chipset and the quicklaunch buttons? ( when I did win7 complained about incompatable program but just uninstall the quicklaunch utility and it will leave the driver installed) |
