817431 2009-10-06 07:54:00 Anyone know anywhere (other than trademe) you can buy quality ATX chassis (Mid/Fulltower) for less than 50 or 60 bucks? secureprivacy (11611)
817432 2009-10-06 07:57:00 You'll be lucky to buy any ATX under $60.. Unless you buy a separate PSU Speedy Gonzales (78)
817433 2009-10-06 08:22:00 ATX cases without PSUs are much cheaper, arent they? Ive already got another PSU.
Any recommendations?

817434 2009-10-06 08:33:00 Depends what you want on the front of it, a few places may sell cases with audio (and maybe HD audio), usb and mic. For maybe 60-65 (without the PSU).

If you want extras like a firewire port / E-SATA, it'll cost more than $50-60

I'm only using Foxconn for 2 of these (not the best, but they were cheap). I think both were about 60. Ones MATX the other ATX

817436 2009-10-06 09:47:00 $80 and you could maybe get a cheap Gigabyte case.

50-60 will not get you anything remotely good!

817437 2009-10-06 10:07:00 Got this for $62 (www.foxconnchannel.com) down the road. That was without PSU. Its not too bad for an MATX case. It also supports HD audio

This is the one I'm using (www.foxconnchannel.com) which was also $60 without PSU. The middle part there is a blue light (for the power), which covers the 2 USB ports, the 3 1/2 bays and the audio/mic. Which can slide down, when you want to use one of them. And it supports HD audio as well.
