| 817316 | 2009-10-06 02:26:00 | Hi all, So I'll be meeting in a fortnight with some old friends from FFBG, we're going to look at where PF1 is headed, what can be done with it, what the likes / dislikes about it are, feature requests, things like that. So, aside from the obvious issue with the current Ads / placement, what would you like to see happen with PressF1? Are there any feature requests? What are your likes / dislikes? Disclaimer: Naturally we can't guarantee everything will be implemented, but I'll take all constructive feedback onboard and see what we can suss out at this meet-up with some of the gentlemen when we meet up :) So, I'm all ears. Chill. |

| 817318 | 2009-10-06 03:02:00 | Embed YouTube *could* be an interesting one, we certainly wouldn't want them auto-starting. Perhaps that'd be a "privilege" for members with over X post-count? So it doesn' get abused by new members / spammers etc? I'm keen to see some more anti-spam measures, perhaps something like disallowing any post and sucking it into a black hole if it contains an email or web link, if it's in the persons first 3 posts. |

I am not a heavy user but I find the site fantastic as it is, but that is mostly because of the fantastic people that hang out here who are happy to share info with those of us who need a bit of expert guidance. Unlike some other tech sites I have used, I also find PF1 hasn't got the snobbery or tech speak that other forums seem to have, again that is only due to the quality of people here and the manner in which the site operates under some good strong leadership by the admins. The only thing I would require to find the site more useful is better indexing of previous threads so I don't start a new thread to ask an old question, and maybe that some threads are stopped when the subject is completed rather than roving all over the place making the indexed searches a bit harder to use. The advertising is OK, if it means the site remains free then I am happy to live with it. Keep up the good work! |

Having a reward system whereby people can get a small prize every few months could work. Purely for example, say every three months everyone who has made more than 10 posts during that period can go into a random draw for the prize. Maybe have 3 people drawn out? If you have been banned for any period during that time, that will automatically disqualify you from being in the draw. Just an idea. :p |
