817597 2009-10-07 21:03:00 Xnet have turned to custard in the last 18 months, since releasing their Torrent plan ...

Why not just get yourself a Router running Tomato firmware and block certain types of traffic / domains for his IP?

OTOH, xnet could be the answer. Auto slow Internet speed!!!

817598 2009-10-08 08:16:00 WAG106N it's under applications & gaming, QoS, internet access priority. Enable it & set the bandwith to whatever you want & save it Phil B (648)
817599 2009-10-08 08:45:00 It works poorly though, if at all, in my experiences :( Chilling_Silence (9)
817600 2009-10-08 08:50:00 I found it makes little difference to browsing, but stuffs the ps3's appetite a treat Phil B (648)
817601 2009-10-09 02:31:00 I am using Linksys WAG200G and it has QoS option in Application & Gaming. see here (www.imagef1.net.nz)
It has High priority | Medium priority | Low priority Options.
Which one I should set so that Video loads slowly for that computer only.
I do not want my laptop loading slow videos and giving me hard time.
What configurations I have to do ?

817602 2009-10-09 07:34:00 They don't work very well unfortunately, it's not really worth bothering with in my experience :-/ Chilling_Silence (9)
817603 2009-10-09 07:40:00 Yours is different to the WAG160N Here's mine Phil B (648)
817604 2009-10-09 07:51:00 I've just had a look through my router & I can't see any other way of doing it. It looks like you're out of luck, unless the bandwith option is somewhere else ot that router.. Maybe find a slow proxy server & set his browser proxy settings to use that. Phil B (648)
817605 2009-10-09 22:50:00 I have problems with daily broadband usage as well. I usually use about 2gb/day since 5 people in the family use the internet.

I don't really have a solution for you but the only solution I know was to switch to a better Internet Service Provider.

I was on Vodafone's 20GB Plan for $100 but just recently switched to Telecom's Big Time Plan for $59.99. Though I don't like Telecom much, their plan at the moment is cheap for me and I get unlimited broadband (Don't have to worry about usage) :)Cheers

Just out of interest. Did you switch your email addresses to Xtra or keep the old ones and access thru the back door??
