| 691845 | 2008-07-25 00:37:00 | If people want to trade in their leave, then they should be allowed to - as adults I don't see any reason why the nanny state should tell them they can't. I know of several people who routinely accumulate too much annual leave, which eventually lapses because they don't have time to use it; they'd be much better off under that scheme. | somebody (208) | ||

| 691847 | 2008-07-25 00:39:00 | I agree with this and their policy regarding sacking of worker after 3 mths. With the amount of bureaucratic nonsense Labour has attached the employer with, its about time someone stood up with decent policy. Why an employer was forced to keep a useless worker for 6? or 9? months is beyond me. | SolMiester (139) | ||

| 691852 | 2008-07-25 05:04:00 | Remembering she is self employed, she is a bit of a worry. But being self-employed, she'll have a good grasp of what happens in the REAL world (as evidenced by many of her posts), unlike the career politicians!! As far as being away from her business is concerned - she won't be. Politicians spend a huge part of their year NOT in Parliament. |

| 691853 | 2008-07-25 05:13:00 | We used to be able to do that at my last place of employment. If you had accumulated over 8 weeks of leave, you could cash in upto 1/4 of it... was quite a nice bonus one week I must say :D |
