691768 2008-07-24 22:00:00 Forrester: Vista rejected like 'new Coke' by enterprises (computerworld.co.nz)

"Vista is 'new Coke,'" Mendel wrote, comparing Microsoft's flagship OS to the ill-fated soft drink. Enterprises still on the fence about Vista would be wise, he said, to "consider following the lead of Microsoft's important partner Intel and re-evaluating the case of Vista."

Great analogy.

691770 2008-07-25 01:49:00 True. The other thing that doesn't fit is that Coke was forced to re-introduce the old coke, calling it "Coke Classic" fairly quickly and then quietly ditched new Coke altogether.

If only that were the case with MS and Vista :D

It's good to know it's not compulsory.

691772 2008-07-25 04:08:00 I've got XP on my desktops and Vista on my Laptop.

I have no complaints with Vista, but then again I have only found a couple of new features that turn me on. Eg the Gadgets and the fact that in Explorer etc it shows the folders you in and are under and the path etc.

Hardly worth paying to upgrade to. So I can see why Corporates arrn't upgrading and probably waiting for Windows 7
