Or he could get a subscription to Naxos, who have their entire catalogue online. Although often they don't use the best artists, and quality can vary quite a lot. I met their CEO once, nice guy.

693256 2008-07-29 04:28:00 Naxos appear to be a streamed WMA 9 format 128kbps at best. Rather than trying to download .wav he could browse the bins at the Warehouse for an armful of cheap CDs or buy real CDs online. PaulD (232)

I did that some years ago. They were having a Super Cleanout. $1.90 each.
