| 819059 | 2009-10-10 10:05:00 | Ok finally got round to doing the update for winders messenger etc........ :waughh: went to log in and have no contact list, but my picture and little words ditty thing under photo is there and correct. why did it not then mange to hold onto and complete the job by saving contacts? alas i have very few contacts as i hardly use it any more, but um.. i dont know there details to put in to WLM to get them back.... what did i do wrong? i dont want to search for people online.... like the stupid thing tries to do, feel like it was a waste of time updating it... maybe i should just delete it and save some space:p beetle |

| 819060 | 2009-10-10 10:15:00 | Aye that's weird.....the messenger itself doesn't hold the contacts - your hotmail account does, and that's not on your PC, it's on MS's servers. When my messenger updated itself all the contacts were intact, including the couple of annoying little shizznels I blocked. If you can't remember everyone on your contact list then go to your hotmail account's address book and simply add people you like and exclude the ones you don't! :D |

| 819061 | 2009-10-10 12:59:00 | MSN does this sometimes (OK, quite a bit) Basically, your copy of Messenger is not syncing with the main server that holds all your contacts etc. This happened to me last time and took about 2 hours to fix (can't remember how sorry).
