818318 2009-10-09 08:12:00 If there's a blue screen whats that say?? And does it show a file/driver? WHEN does it crash?? When you using something / play a game? What firewall / security suite is installed? Speedy Gonzales (78)
818319 2009-10-09 08:17:00 The blue screen didn't show anything that I could find useful. Is there anyway to make it scroll back up the screen?

I hadn't done anything for approx 3 minutes. Had Firefox open, which had a flash application going.

Also had Diablo II, CM2010, and IE8 with a citrix gateway open.

818320 2009-10-09 08:19:00 So how often does it crash. Untick automatically restart. So, you can see what it says when/if it crashes again. Post a HJT log Speedy Gonzales (78)
818321 2009-10-09 08:22:00 Automatically restart is already unchecked.

This is the second time it's crashed. Last time was a couple of months ago. Completely different scenario's, other than Firefox was open.

As mentioned before, how do you scroll through the blue screen?
the_bogan (9949)
818322 2009-10-09 08:25:00 You dont / cant scroll through the blue screen. If it crashes it stays on the screen. Till you reset / reboot. Looks like this (www.tech-archive.net) has the exact error code.

A driver or software, you've installed isnt compatible with XP. What drivers / or software / programs have you installed recently?
Speedy Gonzales (78)
818323 2009-10-09 08:29:00 Bugger, cos I could see it scrolling through a fair bit of text before settling at the end.

Once the PC is up and running again, (Doing a CHKDSK from boot) I'll post a hjt log.

818324 2009-10-09 08:34:00 What programs / drivers have you installed recently?? You may have installed something, that isnt compatible with XP. If drivers, WHERE did you get them from? Speedy Gonzales (78)
818325 2009-10-09 08:40:00 What programs / drivers have you installed recently?? You may have installed something, that isnt compatible with XP. If drivers, WHERE did you get them from?

The only thing I can think of is the recent Itunes update.
