692906 2008-07-29 03:24:00 It sounds like you and your Dad were real mates, thanks for putting his personality across. I've never rollled a 3 wheeler, but have ploughed into a gorse fence because I couldn't get the thing to turn in time.

By the way, if he [and your Mum of course] have 5 great-grandchildren, does that make you a Granny? :p You sure don't sound like one, thought your kids were quite young. If your family has been in the same place for years, it will be like a school reunion. And the neighbours will have plenty to tell you about your Dad that he didn't let on to his kids.

692907 2008-07-29 04:10:00 LOL no im not a granny............. my children are not old enuf to do that, we are still at primary school.

But my brother and sister are 14 and 16 years older than me......... i was very much a accident / surprise late in my parents life..... but much loved.
i grew up almost an only child due to my brother and sister moving out of home long before i can remember....... my nephews and i are closer in age than me and my siblings. and my youngest nehew is only a few months older than my eldest child.

Mum was a townie, and dad was a country bumkin. i spent hours and hours in my dads company. did anything and everything together. we got up to lots.

currently scanning heaps of photos to put on disk to run at the funeral...... memories..and lots of things before my time too!
