I'm not......my then 11 year-old boy came home from school with the politically-correct quota of maori to learn. We discussed....he saw no point in it, when he could use that time learning something that would be more useful in his life.....like how to best pick out the fluff that collects in your belly-button. So we agreed he didn't need to, and he was sent to school with a note from myself saying that he won't be wasting his educational time pandering again to the minority. Now he's learning French and German....and loving it. :cool: |

| 692490 | 2008-07-28 04:09:00 | As Maori is not spoken as an official language in most parts of the world (like Fijian,Tongan, Hawaiian and many other minority languages) It should not be compulsory to speak it, but maybe to learn it voluntarily for the sake of preserving the culture.
