If it has been squealing for a while you will probably fine it has developed a bit of a shine to the contact surface, I would suspect adjustment would be a temporary fix only. The belt itself would be in the $30+ range at a guess but there will probably be at least a couple of belts. Not a hard job but a lot of these small diesels have very little room to manoeuvre. |

Fanbelt. Husbands was doing that, he'd take off up the road with screaming noises to attract attention, as if the clouds of smoke when its cold wasn't enough............. |

Nigel, next time it starts making that squealing noise, lift the bonnet and let the next door neighbours cat out. It worked for me! |
