2008-07-29 22:36:00 | The most random thing has happened to me this morning, I did my normal routine, got out of bed, shower, breakfast (wheetbix, protein shake), then sat down at my computer to do some work and then strange things started happening, the balls of my feet got irritably ichy and my fingers slowly started swelling up, the fingers on my right hand first, and then slowly on my left hand. This has never happened to me before, it seems to me mainly the joins on my fingers. Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Am I suddenly allergic to something? the only thing i can think of that I did differently this morning was i put on brand new socks... perhaps thats why my feet are ichy but doesnt really explain the swelling in my fingers? There is no pain, only swelling to the point i can't bend my fingers properly

2008-07-29 22:39:00 | but i've never been allergic to anything my whole life? I might visit a doctor if it gets worse, but I'd rather save money for now as I'm a poor student | mOOseCaNNoN (13319) | |

Got very sick of orange juice in that time. Maybe wait till tomorrow, if you can put up with it, if it hasn't improved at all, might be an idea to check with a doctor or your GP. Maybe try some anti-histamine? |

2008-07-29 23:00:00 | Talk to your local chemist. Free advice and possibly they will be able to provide an off-the-shelf remedy... | johcar (6283) | |

2008-07-29 23:08:00 | Yup - sounds like mild anaphylaxis - get along to the doctor for an allergy test as soon as you can afford it MC, because if you are allergic to something, the next time you're exposed to it, you may suffer a more severe reaction. Better to be safe than sorry.
