Been having some problems with it, had four different OS installs done on it, have had all of them lose the same system hive file. Is there something wrong with the hard drive? | 820815 | 2009-10-15 08:09:00 | Check the disc first & if it checks out I'd wipe the disc. 1 pass should be enough & then do a clean install. I use Shred for wiping. It's on Ubuntu live disc + others no doubt. It'll take all night to wipe. Check to see if the file is there, if so take an image of the disc & start installing your software. CYaBro: Would the ram really cause a problem with the system hive file? There are more than one hive files. So what operating sytem(s) are you trying to run right now? If using WinXP you might try this to repair the problem. You might to read this. I do have a batch file I could send you if you want. |
