820558 2009-10-14 18:49:00 Hi all.
I'm in the Papamoa Arabian Road/Evans Road area and have been getting some very slow broadband speeds.
Ranging from a low of 500 KB's up to 6.2 MB's.
I have complained, to Telecom, did their speed tests, etc. and been told that is normal.
Am interested in want others, in this area are getting, and others comments on these speeds?
I even addressed my complaint, direct, to Paul Reynolds the Telecom CEO.
Also, anyone else having problems with Firefox's latest, 3.5.3? Since it updated I get get any of my add ons to work. Even removed, totally, cleaned with CC and reinstalled, still none work. The add on set up screan looks up and I have to log out of the system to get it to clear. Am using XP Home.

Telecom at Home plan. 10 GB, max up and down. Talked to out neighbor, on same plan and he has no problems. Must be, my phone line, modem or computer. Modem just over year old, Thompson ST536v6. Running XP Home which I did a format reinstall, last week and has been updating every since. Any ideas???

I was thinking that, but Firefox normally tells you when a plug is not compatible. I did an uninstall, deleted the Firefox folder. Went through the registry and finally ran C Cleaner. I then did a reinstall and same problem.:badpc:
