Love the gorilla/chocolate ad, and also the Whitakers chocolate ads, and also that Speights one with the chewing gum, brilliant! The worst right now - probably Telecom's pathetic McCullough and Partners (or whatever the fake company is called) ad for their Friday drinks. Makes me want to puke every time it comes on! |

| 694039 | 2008-08-14 06:39:00 | Once it was that there were only two things that were unavoidable. Death and Taxes. Possibly that saying is obsolete and should be updated to include Ads. More interesting, in my humble opinion, is how much influence does the Ad(s) have over your life. Take it this way:- If the Xtra ad is better than any other ISP ad should I go with Xtra regardless? Adverts are designed to bring your attention to new products so you will go buy the new product I would think. But also I have to say that some adverts are rather misleading at best. Quite a number use words like "more" or "better" and the first thing I think of is better than what? If my current products suit me then why would I spent hard earned cash on a so called different product? I still like the TUI ads. But I don't, as a normal thing, go out and buy the TUI beer. This is mostly because I drink beer on very hot days but am just as happy with Whiskey & ice. |
