One point that many people miss:

When writing a title, DO NOT split it up.

You have written:

Welcome to the DUNEDIN BRANCH of the NEW ZEALAND
SOCIETY of GENEALOGISTS.

It should be:

Welcome to the
DUNEDIN BRANCH of the NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY of GENEALOGISTS

or
Welcome to the
DUNEDIN BRANCH
of the
NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY
of
GENEALOGISTS

Setting out does make a big difference.

You may not split up, to a different line, any of the words with the same colour, but you can combine different colours on the same line. Joining words, such as "to the" and "of the" are best on their own line if you can but is not compulsory.

Think of words in a title as different ideas of the title. "Dunedin Branch" is one idea, "New Zealand Society" is the next idea and "Genealogists" the last.

Your treatment of "to the" and "of the" is correct. You can even make them a smaller font if you want.

I'm certain everyone will be most pleased with your efforts!

Like everyone else has said the font is to small

Personally i think Tahoma (the font) is a bit thick/heavy weighted, also (I am sure some Mac people will correct me if i am wrong but), Tahoma was until "Leopard" a windows only font, it may have come with MS products on the mac but it wasn't a native font.

I was always told it's a good idea when specifying a font to specify 2 or 3 fonts that way if the system viewing the site doesn't have your first choice font it will go for your seconfd choice, rather than the browsers default font.

Although i think most of the fonts specs on this site are inline rather than CSS does Front page allow it?
