2009-10-14 11:22:00 | I dont see or know why people whinge about Vista. Im running it on the 3 pcs here now. Its fine. 64 bit on this, and 32 bit on the other 2. The other 2 PC's arent that great (an AMD socket 754 1.6 lol, with 1.25 GB). Its faster than what I thought it'd be. At least Vista installed drivers for it (the LAN, ACPI or something and audio). Since there are no Vista drivers for it). And the other is a P4 with 1 GB, and Vista installed the LAN and audio drivers for that as well. And there are no Vista drivers for this either. I just killed UAC and indexing on all 3.. Havent had any probs (besides this 1, but I'll live :p)

2009-10-14 11:29:00 | I know its a major PITA since if its enabled some programs will give you access denied errors. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-10-14 11:32:00 | IMO it would work alot better if it didnt block things that you've double clicked, just seems pointless because you cant accidentally double click on something really | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
2009-10-14 18:51:00 | Well looks like its a screwup in vista. Posted the same question in an MS newsgroup Answer: Delete it from sendto, or dont use sendto when the PC is off lol. Which is obvious. But it doesnt help

Certainly, I have had UAC and indexing off, but, like you say, drivers that work usually just appear! But I do like Win 7! Have one on order and will put my Vista on my wife's machine. |
